Notice of Closing of Sales of the Hard Disk Glass Media Manufacturing Operation and Related Assets

Hoya Corporation (“HOYA”) announced today that HOYA and its wholly owned subsidiary, Hoya Magnetics Singapore Pte Ltd have completed the previously announced sales of the hard disk glass media manufacturing operation and related assets to Western Digital Corporation pursuant to the agreement entered into among the parties dated April 28, 2010.
