Executive Officers

Under the Company with Nomination Committee, etc. structure, certain authorities of the Board of Directors are delegated to Executive Officers to enable agile business execution. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) are nominated as candidates for Executive Officer positions by the Nomination Committee and formally appointed by the Board of Directors. Each oversees business execution in accordance with areas of responsibility defined by the Board.

Based on management policies approved by the Board of Directors, Executive Officers instruct the headquarters functions and business division leaders to formulate and implement specific initiatives and monitor their progress.

Each quarter, a budget meeting attended by all Executive Officers is held for all business divisions to review progress against the annual plan and discuss plans for the following quarter.

Authority for day-to-day business operations is largely delegated to the heads of each business division, who execute plans approved at the budget meetings.

In addition to the CEO and CFO, both of whom also serve as directors, the CSO attends every Board meeting and actively participates in discussions.
