Universiti Teknologi Mara and Malaysian Hoya Lens signs Memorandum of understanding<\/strong><\/p>\n

Malaysian Hoya Lens Sdn Bhd, an established global enterprise in advanced optics technologies, today officially signed its first Memorandum of understanding with an academics institutes – Universiti Teknologi Mara.<\/p>\n

The signing between UiTM and Hoya was represented by the Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Y.BHG. DATO\u2019 PROF. IR. DR. SAHOL HAMID ABU BAKAR FASC and Mr. Yasuka Miyakawa acting as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hoya Asia Headquarters. A Signing Ceremony to seal the working partnership between both parties was held at UiTM Puncak Alam Campus.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs global players in the optical lens industry, we have always taken the initiative to be actively involved in university or institute related activities. Students being our future support for the industry and with this opportunity to work closely with UiTM, it is indeed one of Hoya\u2019s greatest honour to contribute to help them in growing to be a professional body. Secondly, this MoU will be a part of company\u2019s global CSR effort to contribute or working closer with universities.\u201d said Mr. Miyakawa.<\/p>\n

The MoU initiative was the first that Hoya Asia Headquarters anticipated. In order to further strengthen this partnership, Malaysian Hoya Lens will support to setup Hoya Simulation Center to help users to experience a real-life simulation of wearing progressive lenses in the course of their daily routine. This center will also be a good platform for students and supervisors to realize the importance of real life dispensing to narrow the communication gap with patients when recommending the suitable progressive lens design to them.<\/p>\n

In addition, Hoya will be considering in supporting and sponsoring Academics awards, exchange program and joint visit along the course of this MoU enforcement.<\/p>\n
