Adoption of IFRS
HOYA became the second company in Japan to adopt International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), in FY2010. This has enabled shareholders and investors all over the world to evaluate HOYA by the same measures as other companies globally.

Introduction of Shareholders´ Value Added (SVA)

HOYA was a pioneer in beginning disclosure of quarterly results, including cash flow statements, in 1998. We have been promoting management with emphasis on capital efficiency and have evolved ROE into SVA (the increase in corporate value) as indicator of management performance. SVA indicates how much earnings are increased above the total cost of shareholders´ equity, by using the total assets owned by the company.
